Search Buzz Video Recap: Google Sept. 19 Core Update, Fresher Search Console Data, More Snippet Control & More

It was a busy week in search, I hope you like the small tweaks I am making to these news recap videos, if you do, subscribe, smash that like button and hit that bell. 🙂 First up, Google release another Google core update, this one was named the September 2019 core update. Google Search Console has fresher performance report that is updated within a day or so. Google is giving webmaster more snippet controls, including max length for text and videos and the size of your images. Google updated GoogleBot to Chrome 77. Google sent breadcrumb warnings for schema issues but some of those warnings may not be correct because of a bug. Google suggests it may ignore nofollow links if that site blanket nofollows all their links. Google review rich results keeps dropping after the new rules were released. Google crawl rate setting may take a day to kick in. Google does not count hot linked images as links. Google said when you move your site to a new server, it will slow crawl until it figures out the new servers capacity. Google has transaction for knowledge panels now. Google had issues indexing Blogger sites. Google redesigned the Google Ads call only ads. Google Ads is sunsetting the average position metric this Monday. Google now lets restaurants opt out of online ordering. Google’s John Mueller is doing Google search news videos now, and they rock. There is this Google spy in our comments, I don’t think he is legit. Google is celebrating its 21st birthday today. Don’t miss the Will Reynolds vlog.
