Again, at the BrightonSEO conference conference, John Mueller was asked about how do they know if they are doing a good job with making publishers happy. Do they have metrics to determine if they are doing a good job. John Mueller said they do look to make publishers happy but the metrics behind that are complicated.
So our general idea is we would like to see webmasters, publishers, people who make content online, be happy with what they’re doing and be happy kind of with this deal that they have with Google. Where it’s like they allow us to crawl their content and we show it in the search results we send traffic to their websites. And kind of this this general relationship in the ecosystem. And that to my mind is something that’s almost not measurable. So we come out with all kinds of crazy metrics to try to figure out like how can we measure how happy people are with regards to to Google in the whole kind of content ecosystem. But I don’t really have any any fancy metrics that I’m so confident in that I’d say like this is exactly how you do it.
So Google does use different metrics to try to determine the health and happiness of the ecosystem but said there is no magic metric that Google can point out to determine this.
